Welcome!

 

I’m Emily, and I’m a London based freelance musician. 

 

I play the oboe and cor anglais, and since graduating from the Royal College of Music, I’ve been lucky enough to build up a career doing what I love.

 

I really enjoy the variety my work offers; from full scale symphony orchestra projects, to opera, live film screenings, session music for TV and film, or more intimate chamber music, all alongside my work in education.

 

As a Cor Anglais specialist I am currently on trial for positions with the London Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonia Orchestra. I also perform in concerts, recordings and live broadcasts with many orchestras around the UK including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, London Mozart Players, Welsh National Opera and Britten Sinfonia.

 

Recent highlights have included performing Schönberg’s epic ‘Gurre-Lieder’ with the London Philharmonic Orchestra in concert and broadcast live from the Festival Hall. I was also invited to record the beautiful Cor Anglais solo in Ravel Piano Concerto in G with the Philharmonia Orchestra, and to perform with Welsh National Opera at the opening of the Prague Spring Festival 2023.
