Welcome

I’m Emily, I play the Oboe and Cor Anglais, and since graduating from the Royal College of Music, I’ve been lucky enough to build up a career doing what I love.

I held the full time position of Principal Cor Anglais/Oboe no. 2 at Ulster Orchestra from 2024-26, and after an amazing few years in Belfast have recently returned to freelancing in London.

 

As a Cor Anglais specialist, trials for positions have included the London Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra and BBC National Orchestra of Wales. I also perform in concerts, recordings and live broadcasts with many orchestras around the UK including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Sinfonia of London, Welsh National Opera and Britten Sinfonia.

 

Recent highlights have included performing Sibelius’s ‘The Swan of Tuonela’ at the BBC Proms with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, and touring the UK with Sinfonia of London. I also played in the London Philharmonic Orchestra’s concert performance of Mahler’s Second Symphony, which featured in the Sky documentary ‘Backstage with the London Philharmonic Orchestra’ in 2025.
